IUSTI Prestigious Annual Lecture

Since 2016, a plenary presenter has been carefully selected by the IUSTI Congress President and awarded the ‘IUSTI Prestigious Lecture’. This tradition has continued for the STI & HIV 2025 World Congress.

IUSTI Best Presentation Awards
To recognize the best presentations at the STI & HIV World Congress, a total of eight awards are available for the best oral and poster presentations.
IUSTI Best Oral Presentation Awards
One award and one honorary mention will be awarded to the presenters of the best oral presentation at the STI & HIV 2025 World Congress. The Awards will be presented on Wednesday, July 30 right after Plenary Session PL07.
IUSTI Best Poster Presentation Awards
One award for each of the tracks and for Early Career Researchers will be awarded to the presenter of the best poster presentation at the STI & HIV 2025 World Congress. The Awards will be presented on Wednesday, July 30 right after Plenary Session PL06.
Christopher Fairley Prize for Excellence in Sexual Health Research
Sponsored by Sexual Health (an official journal of IUSTI)
Awarded to an early-career researcher for outstanding original research in sexual health, including STIs, HIV, reproductive health, or health promotion. Open to individuals who have top-ranked abstracts accepted at the Congress. Prize includes USD $500 and a certificate presented during the closing ceremony. Winner selected by an independent panel based on the strength of the abstract. More details about Sexual Health can be found here.

Eligibility
All accepted abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the STI & HIV 2025 World Congress are eligible. No additional application is required.
Judging criteria
All oral and poster presentations will be judged by an Award Review Panel consisting of IUSTI members. Selection criteria include originality and quality of work, along with presentation skills and styles.
